The music scene seems to be coming up Gary at the moment.
Latest band Wolf Parade are described as a cross between Arcade Fire and Modest Mouse (considering Issac Brock produced their debut, I guess that's unsuprising). Combining the sounds of my favorite album of this year and my favorite of last year has gotta be a good thing.
Listening to four mp3s I've found on the web (follow the above link) I am getting pretty damn excited about this group - but I'm going to have to wait a couple of weeks until their album is released.
