From the safe surroundings of my Devon estate I poke fun at stuff whilst adding absolutely nothing to this world other than a smug sense of self-amusement.

So tired, tired of waiting
OK, so I heard about my job... and they want me back for another interview. Hmmm, I think it'd be easier to get a place on the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court (I assume you are referring to the US SC, not the ICJ or the HofL) is actually rather difficult to get a seat upon. But then, with your natural charm...
Erm, wasn't Gary implying that this was indeed the case (ie that it's not easy to get onto the Supreme Court)? Or am I the one who needs to retake Irony 101?
Though actually, I get the impression that anyone with a conservative voting record and a connection to George Bush can get onto the Supreme Court these days. I read that yet another justice is retiring soon, so I think Gary can expect the call-up any day now, given his extreme right-wing views and shady past in the Texas oil business.
Also, 'HofL'? WTF? You're just making this stuff up now, aren't you? Just trying to bamboozle us non-law-type-folk with your fancy acronyms an' all.
Sorry, HofL is just shorthand that I used through 4 years of law school (before I realised that domestic law was a bit dull and upgraded to war law). House of Lords. Quite obviously.
My interview 2nd interview (3rd if you count the 3hr "chat" and aptitude test that I went through) is tomorrow at 9am. The job is in the IT department of a well known local water supplier. Um, so that would be...
Getting into the HofL is easy - Tony, if your reading, the cheques in the post.

Indeed, what job?
Good luck at interview 2.
